Regression

Instead of describing the Heat of Hydration, Q, by means of data saved in a text-file, it is possible to make an approximation as:

where

M = maturity

Qtotal = Total heat development (energy)/(weight of cement or powder content per volume-unit of concrete)

τ = Time Constant, determining the maturity where the sign of the curvature is changing

α = Curvature Parameter, describing how steep the rise of the curve is

The parameters are found by performing a regression analysis, which uses the stated values as a starting point. The software suggests a set of values.

It is possible to fix the parameters by the check-boxes.

It is possible to select weighting of data, which influences the distribution of the compliance between data and the approximated curve. The weighting is a function of maturity.

Note that if no solution is found, manually formulating another starting point is required.
