Initializing the datalogger

 

Before practical measuring takes place, the datalogger has to be initialized.

This sections describes how to make the datalogger ready both in relation to calibration and to determination of heat of hydration.

Perform the instructions according to section 4 of the instruction manual from Testo ("175, IM, 0970 1759, en, 04.pdf") installed together with the HeatchWatch software.

 

Start the testo software ("testo Comfort Software Basic 5.0") and select "Connect instrument".

 

Select the "testo 175/176" device and press "Connect". In the left menu select "Configure Instrument".

 

This will bring up the configuration window as shown below.

 

 

 

In the Recording area of the "Operations settings" tab set the following values:

 

 

In the Channel settings area of the "Operations settings" tab select "Cu-CuNi thermocouple" for both Channel 1 and Channel 2.

 

Switch to the “Instrument configuration” tab and set Display "On" as shown below.

 

Now press the "Transfer to instrument" button and the datalogger is programmed. After programming the display on the datalogger is showing the word “Wait”.

 

Now is the datalogger ready for measuring and will start to collect data as soon as the “Go”-button is pressed in 3 seconds.
